Description

This stunning perennial boasts large, rounded foliage that makes a bold visual statement. The leaves, which can reach an impressive 60cm in diameter, gracefully sit on sturdy stalks that grow up to 1m tall, resulting in attractive dome-shaped plants. As autumn approaches, the leaves often transform into vibrant shades of red before eventually dying down. Come late spring, rounded clusters of white to bright pink flowers add to the plant's allure.

This perennial thrives in reliably moist soil, although it can gradually adapt to slightly drier conditions. While the plant is fully hardy, it's worth noting that the delicate flowers may be susceptible to scorching from late frosts. To avoid this, refrain from planting it in an east-facing bed. As the plant matures, divide over-sized clumps during the spring season to maintain its health and vigour.
